In recent years the development of cognitive science has helped to clarify a number of processes involved in the work of the conference interpreter. In simultaneous interpretation, balancing act, the interpreter must listen to the speech, follow the proxemics and intentions of the speaker, understand speech, deverbalisation to keep only the mental image and reformulate it in another language without interruption while tirelessly repeating these operations. During this conference will be addressed some of these mechanisms.
